SUMMARY:
Food industry wastewater is characterized by high concentrations of organic matter and suspended solids, with strong biodegradability, making itrelatively easy to treat.
PROCESS TECHNOLOGY:
- Implementation of two-stage aeration tanks, two-stage biofilters, or multi-stage biological rotating discs;
- For wastewater with high total nitrogen, a multi-stage AO process may be employed for nitrogen removal.
Note: The food industry mainly includes: breweries and distilleries, beverage factories, flour and starch processing plants, seasoning manufacturers, juice producers, and dairy processing plants.
