SUMMARY:
Mining wastewater includes process water from mineral processing, tailings pond overflow, and mine site drainage. It contains a wide variety of harmful substances. The primary contaminants in mining wastewater are suspended solids, acids, alkalis, heavy metals, mining chemicals, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and other pollutants.
PROCESS TECHNOLOGY:
- Pre-sedimentation, coagulation/sedimentation;
- Neutralization for acidic or alkaline wastewater;
- Co-precipitation, adsorption, and ion exchange for heavy metal removal;
- Coagulation/sedimentation,biodegradation, advanced oxidation, and adsorption for COD removal.
